Aspley Special School Expo

May 06, 2021

Our team recently spent a wonderful day at Aspley Special School for their Disability Service Providers Expo. Our teamies shared lots of laughter and had a great time connecting with parents and meeting new people.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by our booth for a chat with Sally, Jess, Jenn, Ian, or Amena. The lucky dip was a popular one for the day. Many people received great prizes like stress balls, pens, bouncy balls, and more.

Our team was even joined by Elisha on the day who was letting people know what it’s like to be a part of the Mamre community. As well as sell some of her beautiful homemade earrings and let people know about her upcoming jewellery making workshop.

Another very popular Mamre booth activity was the “Guess how many jellybeans are in the jar” competition. The winning guess of 642 ended up going to a family who funnily enough is part of the Mamre community who was very pleased with their grand prize! Would you have guessed there were 614 jellybeans in the jar? And check out the great little board Allied Health created to assist people with giving their jellybean guess.

A big thank you Aspley Special School Expo committee for inviting us to come along. It was great to see some familiar faces as well as make some new friends and connections. If you stopped by the booth to have a chat on the day and would like some more information, please feel free to email us.
