Mamre’s 2020 AGM

November 27, 2020

Mamre’s 2020 AGM was held on Monday the 9th of November. The meeting had a great turn out with Board Members and Mamre Members joining in both in-person and online. This meeting marked Mamre’s 39th Annual General Meeting.

In April of this year, we said goodbye to our long-serving Governance Board President Tom Condon. You can read more about that announcement here. Tom’s strong support helped guide Mamre through the NDIS transition, growth periods, and assisted with the creation of Disability Law Queensland (DLQ). So thank you Tom. Your stewardship, commitment, and dedication will always be felt.

During the year, we also said goodbye to Pam Weeks.  Pam has been a very hard-working member of the Governance Board and her attention to detail has been an asset. So thank you Pam. Your enduring commitment and contributions to Mamre will be greatly missed.

In lighter news, David Stevenson was re-elected as the Mamre Governance Board President alongside Regina Deerain as Vice President and James Barbeler as Treasure. The members of the Board include Gillian Hulse, Margaret Endicott and Silvia Azmitia. Julie Tealby will continue as Mamre’s Secretary. If you need to contact the Mamre Governance Board, they can be reached at [email protected].

The annual report summarises the challenges and successes of the last year. Through the NDIS and COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has been a complicated year. However, Mamre is finishing in a strong and positive position for the future.

Board President David Stevenson ended the meeting by thanking the community for their support. Mamre is fortunate to have a dedicated number of community members and we greatly value and appreciate everyone’s contribution and passion for Mamre.
