Mamre’s Craft Group was started by a group of enthusiastic community members who love sharing their creative skills with each other. We’ve already had the privilege of joining our crafters for jewellery making and card-making workshops, and earlier this month we were thrilled to join Phil as he led a macrame plant hanger workshop at the Mamre Community Hub. Phil has been making macrame for more than 40 years and was more than happy to share his skills and knowledge with the group.
Phil also brought along some of his most-recent macrame creations, which included a very stylish dog lead and a variety of animal-themed wall hangings — we especially love the pink owl!
Everyone who attended the macrame workshop had a go at making a macrame plant hanger, and judging by the photos, a good time was had by all. Great work, everyone!
Thank you, Phil, for sharing your love of macrame with the Mamre community. We can’t wait to see what our crafters have in store for us next month!
