Taum recently enjoyed a little local holiday at the Sunshine Coast, specifically visiting the beautiful mountain town of Maleny.
Taum and her support worker Louise’s weekend away was filled with a great mixture of fun activities (like checking out some local farms) and cultural experiences, as well as a lot of relaxation!
Both Taum and Louise agreed that a big highlight of the trip was heading to Australia Zoo for a great day of animal encounters. They loved getting up close and personal with the elegant giraffes and adorable meerkats in the Africa area of the park. Taum also loved checking out all the native Australian birds and feeding the kangaroos.
While at the coast, they also attended the SunCoast Chamber Music Festival. One of their favourite concerts was set on the banks of the Noosa River at sunset. The show had a mixture of modern music with indigenous stories. They also enjoyed heading to a concert at the Caloundra Events Centre with several wonderful chamber music groups.
