We’re excited to bring PlayConnections training to Brisbane for Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers.

Next workshop will be held on the 11th & 12th November 2019
Venue: Mamre Assoc Inc, 40 Finsbury Street, Newmarket, Qld
Cost: $590 (inc GST)

Parent-child relationships are a key part of optimal child development. Research also shows that when a child has delays parent-child relationships can be under stress.

Enhancing parent-child relationship builds a platform for future family connection as well as supporting developmental progress for the child.

It is critical that therapists form a therapeutic alliance with parents to maximise parent confidence.

Parents learn to understand and respond to their child’s unique cues and signals.

This training will enable you to support strong connections between parents and children to help optimise child development.

It is different from other relationship-based workshops as it is developed by an Occupational Therapist with both academic and research experience as well as current clinical practice.

This training is incredibly practical and you will receive proformas to use in your practice setting.

What you will learn…

Evidence on importance of parent-child interactions in early intervention

A phased approach to incorporate a relationship-focus model

How to engage families in therapy that includes a relationship-focus

Conducting case histories and goal planning with a relationship-focus

Structuring a relationship-focused intervention and evaluation methods

Video review techniques for observation and learning

Hear from other therapists
