People who lost their eligibility to the Queensland Taxi Subsidy Scheme (TSS) because they transitioned to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will have their TSS membership restored until the end of June 2019.
Former TSS members who have transitioned to the NDIS do not need to re-apply or do anything. You will receive a letter confirming the process and a new TSS card will be issued. It is hoped that all reinstated members will have a new card by 11 August 2017.
The decision by the Queensland Government is to ensure that people with disability can continue to receive TSS supports while work with the Commonwealth Government and other states is undertaken to resolve concerns about the transport supports provided under the NDIS.
TSS members who are not eligible for the NDIS are not impacted – TSS supports will continue to be provided.
